Sarah passed away today. I was by her side the entire day holding her hand. She went peacefully with no pain and me caressing her head. I will miss her so much.
Thank you all for being her friend and loving her.

We love you, too, Lorraine.
I'm so sorry.
She will be loved and missed forever.
Oh Lorraine, I simply don't have the words. Her beautiful spirit was only matched by her incredible smile, which is precisely how I'll forever remember her... smiling.

I can't express how much this saddens me. I feel such a great loss and I only knew her online. I can only imagine how special she was in real life.
Sarah - may your spirit be soaring tonight.
Lorraine, may you find peace and comfort in knowing how she touched so many lives.
May God Bless
Sandi
Lorraine,
I am deeply saddened to hear this, but it is comforting to know that you were holding her hand and she was peaceful.
I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through, but I wanted to let you know how much Sarah touched my life. She was the person who finally got through to me and made me understand that it was okay to be who I am. I struggled for years to accept myself and when I "met" Sarah (albeit virtually) it all made sense that I could have a normal life and normal relationships that could actually make me feel fulfilled. The way she talked about you and your life together gave me so much hope, and I will never forget that.
I regret not getting together when I was living in Maryland at the time you two were. I can only imagine the dynamic, wonderful person she was in real life. Must have been a real presence.
My heart goes out to you. I hope it comforts you to know how much inspiration and comfort she provided to so many people. She has touched, and continues to touch, so many lives.
RIP Sarah. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you.
Love,
Dana
I am so, so, sorry. Sarah was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was lucky to have a wonderful person like you in her life, by her side.
Sarah touched the lives of SO many people. She will be very missed!

Lorraine,
Sarah was such a beautiful and kind person. We on the Hodgkins board will miss her incredibly. I keep thinking of the song, "Sarah, Sa--a-rah, no time is a good time for goodbyes..."

Lorraine,
I am so sorry for your loss. Those of us at 3FC were watching the webmagic forums with hope for news about Sarah. I am deeply saddened to hear this. We mourn with you for the loss of such a beautiful person.
Sarah touched lives wherever she went. She will be missed greatly. She was lucky to have found such love in her life. My deepest sympathies, Lorraine.
Sheila from 3FC
Lorriane, may you find peace that Sarah left an indelible mark to so many cancer survivors who needed kind words. From her blog and her posts, she touched so many lives for the better. I may be overstepping, but what about a foundation in her honor to find a cure for Hodgkin's Disease? I searched the Internet and found no active official foundation or official charity dedicated to finding a cure solely for Hodgkin's Disease, a disease that is supposed to be the "good one" but one that has taken away so many good people like her.
I send my heartfelt condolences to you.
Gina M.
Sister of a Hodgkin's Survivor
Lorraine,
From another 3FC member who was deeply touched by the incredible light Sarah carried with her wherever she went, I can only imagine how brightly she must have shined in person.
I am sending all of my most peaceful thoughts to you and your family and friends in this incredibly difficult time.
This just breaks my heart Lorraine, I have no words to express my sorrow for you. I pray you find peace and support during this dark and lonely time. I hope the memories you shared with Sarah can help sustain you. You will be in my thoughts...
Jennifer
I'm so sorry, Lorraine. This world just lost an amazing person with such a radiant heart.
Wishing you strength and the comfort from your shared memories together.

I'm so sorry to hear this Lorraine. She was such a great motivating person. I wish I could've met her in "real" life.
So sorry to hear this.
Thinking of you, Lorraine. There are no words.
She exemplified spirit, grace and dignity. Her words of support and encouragement will live on.
My sincere condolences to you.
Lorraine, you don't know me, but please allow me to thank you for sharing Sarah with those of us suffering with the same disease.
I can't tell you how often Sarah lifted my spirits with her approach to life, and her advice in dealing with Hodgkins.
She was my Hodge Hero, and barely a few months into knowing her, I miss her dearly -- And know I'll miss her more as time goes on.
Lorraine, thank you. Thank you for sharing her wonderous spirit with others, and for caring for her as wonderfully as you did.
The world is a much sadder place without Sarah. I am so sorry.
i am so sorry for your loss.
i am so thankful to have 'known' her.

It's incredible how some one that we have never met in person can touch our lives so greatly. I know how our HL forum family is grieving the loss of our friend, and I see friends from another forum have also come to know and love Sarah's kind heart.
Lorraine, I hope you are comforted in knowing how much we all truly cared for Sarah. Thank you for sharing her with us all. Life has to end....love and memories are cherished forever.
Susan (laulausmamma)

Lorraine, I'm so sorry, so sorry. Sarah was a wonderful friend to me on Diet Talk. She sustained me with her strength on days that were hard to get through. And when others were giving up and being negative, Sarah was doing it! I was amazed at her zest for life and her strength. I often called her "SuperWoman". She was amazing. I'll always remember her. All my love and prayers, Dee
I have only been reading Sarah's blog for a short bit, but am always touched to read her words.
I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you. Please know what a difference she made in my life.
Wishing you peace.
Lorraine - I'm so sorry.
Hi, Lorraine. I was just thinking about you today and through I'd say hello. You continue to be in my prayers. Love you.
Oh Lorraine, I am at a loss for words!
It was not until today that I had learned of Sarah passing.I had been away from the Hodge boards for some six months and have been so very busy. I moved some 1300 miles, bought a house, sent my husband overseas with the military. And today whilst trying to help out another who thinks they might be affected by hodge, I went to get the link to the board to email it , and noticed there were not any wonderful wise words from Sarah, and hadn't been for some time, that is when I learned of the news.
I initially went through treatment at the same time as Sarah, and was part of the "chemo club" we had on the board. Sarah and Mary and Ann Marie were such a plethora of information. We shared plenty of laughs too, especially about missing toenails...I had those too.She was such a fighter and even on her worst days would share with us.
Know that Sarah is watching over you,and while heaven gained an angel the world could use a few more Sarahs.
Know that we are always here for you.
Constance (Ironlady form the Hodge board)
I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am Lorraine for your loss.... I joined the Lymphoma website back when I was having lots of symptoms and came across Sarah through there. I looked for updates awhile back and was hoping that was because all was well. I just decided tonight to go looking again and am so saddened to see she has passed. Although I never knew her in person - her strength spilled out into everything! I can only imagine how you are still grieving - she was an amazing lady!!!!!!!!!!!
My thoughts and prayers go out ot yo tonight!!!!!!!
Lisa
Lorainne,
My husband passed away on Dec 27th. He and Sarah had a similar diagnosis and treatment schedule and were active members of the Hodgkin's Forum. I posted a message about Dave's passing on the Forum on Januay 11th, and am looking back for the first time today (April 16). Many people posted responses to my message, people who knew Dave through his postings, and who shared common experiences with him.
The most touching posting came form Sarah. She was starting the trial at MD Anderson that Dave was denied, and as I read her message I began to cry. It was so heartfelt. So I followed the link to her blog and learned that she passed away in late January, just one month after Dave.
I am so very sorry for you and I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. If you are like me, you may not be checking postings/comments/emails as it is so very painful. Here I am 3 1/2 months after Dave passed away. I am back to work, the kids are doing fine and our life is moving forward. Yet so much is changed.
I know your journey is hard right now. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you find joy and peace eventually. If you want to chat with a kindred spirit someday, give me a call (312) 513-1065.
Jenny

I knew Sarah through 3FC a few years ago and she touched me so much that I regularly checked her blog to see how she was doing.
I am so sad today to hear of her death.
Lorraine she loved you so much and I am so sorry for your loss.
Amanda
Dear Lorraine,
I haven't been brave enough to check Sarah's website for a long while and I'm so sorry not to have done so. I've "known" Sarah online since 2004 and she was always a fabulous friend. Her tales of your lives together touched so many people and will stand forever as testament to the power of love. I'm so glad that she had you as she went through the suckage that is cancer and I know that she was at peace at the end because you were with her.
Love,
Denise
sure do miss you
we all lost some sunshine
the day you went home

I thought of you today as I was thinking about Bush being booted. You would have been very happy, Sarah. You're missed.
